About the Lady

Natalie Deryn Johnson is a movement and voice artist with a niche for poetics. Based in New York City, she performs independently and collaborates with artists of various mediums. Her most recent endeavor is a movement memoire, Patient History: a story exploring chronic illness and elevation. She moved to New York to intern with Lois Greenfield and appears in her newest publication, Moving Still.  Natalie regularly performs with Christina Noel and the Creature. Her work with Albert A. Garcia has premiered at BAM, Dixon Place and Bowery Poetry Club. She has earned a Scholastic National Gold Key in Photography and attended UC Irvine for her BFA in Choreography and Dance Performance. Natalie spends her days as a photographer, filmmaker and model when not exploring dance for camera in tandem to the relationship between energetic and theatrical practices as a means of expanding compassion, embodiment and storytelling methods.

Empathetic, quirky and devoted to magical wellbeing, she is dancing on the roof in the rain right now. 

 

Natalie also works as a energetic and intimate healer.

She is certified in bodyART, Reiki and teaches her own master classes based on her choreographic, holistic and metaphysical studies.
